My story

~ I can live in a single family home or condo.~ I want to live with adults. I may be willing to consider sharing my home with kids 10 years of age and older who are gentle and respectful of pets.~ I may like to live with another dog who is gentle and respectful towards me.~ Although Ive never lived with a cat, I have met them and was reportedly friendly. I may be willing to consider sharing my home with a dog-savvy feline, pending slow and proper introductions.~ I am a high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.Meet Thunder! This handsome 9 year old, American Pit Bull Terrier mix weighs 47 pounds and has a striking black coat, accented with distinguished gray fur. Thunder came to the shelter after the heartbreaking loss of his owners passing, and is now looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. Thunder is a social, affectionate guy with a medium energy level who enjoys both adventure and relaxation. Long trail hikes make him especially happy, and he also loves chasing toys, playing in a fenced yard, lounging in the grass, and soaking up relaxing massages. Hes a smart boy who knows multiple commands and enjoys rope toys and balls. Bonus points if you like brushing dogs...Thunder certainly does! Thunder has lived with another dog before and reportedly did well. He may be willing to share his home with another gentle, respectful dog companion. Although he has never lived with cats, he has reportedly been friendly when meeting them and may consider a dog-savvy feline friend with slow introductions. Thunder is house-trained and crate-trained and is used to living with adults. He may be open to living with children 10 years and older who are gentle and respectful of pets. He can live in either a single-family home or condo as long as he gets plenty of daily exercise and enrichment.
