My story

Lady Eboshi is a 6-year-old American Akita with a huge personality and a lot of love to give. My family jokingly calls her “Porkerican” because of her piggy belly and the little grunting noises she makes. She has grown up around babies, children, teenagers, adults, and elderly family members, and is very familiar with family life. She is loyal, affectionate, protective, and has the strong personality typical of the Akita breed. Due to littermate syndrome and past experiences, she does not do well with other dogs besides her mother, so she would do best as the only dog in the home. She is not spayed. Her ideal home would be with someone experienced with large or guardian breeds, preferably Akitas, and someone with an active lifestyle or a large fenced yard.Rehoming her is an extremely difficult decision, but due to long-term family, housing, financial, and scheduling instability, I want to find her the stable forever home she deserves.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lady Eboshi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
