AMBER

My story

Amber - 23081 - Kennel 640 - Arrived October 2, 2026 - Domestic Short Hair mix - brown tabby - female - 4 years old - 7.4375 lbs - Will be spayed prior to adoption - Up to date on vaccines - FIV/FeLV negative Amber is named for her eyes, big and glowing amber-gold, and they look at you with so much depth you’ll feel it. She is a brown tabby with a soft, woodsy coat, bold dark striping, an “M” marking on her forehead, and a dark-tipped tail. She has a tipped ear, which makes her easy to identify. Amber arrived at Cobb Animal Services on October 2, 2026. At 4 years old and 7.4375 pounds, she is a grown cat with years of companionship still ahead of her. A cat her age is past the kitten chaos and knows who she is, which means the person who adopts her can start building a life together right away. It isn’t fair for a cat like Amber to spend her days in a steel kennel with a towel for a bed. She deserves a sunny windowsill, a quiet corner that is hers, and a person to come home to. Adult cats are so often overlooked in a shelter, and the ones who wait the longest often have the most love to give. Amber is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and will be spayed before she goes home. Come meet Amber in kennel 640. She is ready for a place to call home. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136.
