Root Beer - 23541 - Kennel 624 - Arrived October 20, 2026 - Domestic Short Hair mix - grey - male - 4 years old - 7.4375 lbs - Will be neutered prior to adoption - Up to date on vaccines - FIV/FeLV negative Root Beer is a soft, smoky grey boy with a plush coat and a calm, steady gaze, the kind of cat who makes you slow down and take a breath. His name suits him, because there is something comforting and familiar about him. Root Beer arrived at Cobb Animal Services on October 20, 2026. At 4 years old and 7.4375 pounds, he is a compact, full-grown cat in the prime of his life, with years of companionship still ahead. He is house trained and good with children, dogs, and cats, so he is ready to settle into nearly any household. A cat like Root Beer deserves more than a steel kennel and a folded towel. He deserves a favorite spot on the couch, a name on a food bowl, and someone who is glad to see him every single day. Adult cats are so often passed over in a shelter, and the ones who wait the longest often have the most to give. Root Beer is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and will be neutered before he goes home. He shares kennel 624 with Darwin, and while each is welcome in a home of his own, we would be delighted to see them go together. Come meet Root Beer in kennel 624. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
