My story

Hi there! My name is Rookie and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 4 year old, male, Large Mixed Breed who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home. I’m a big, lovable guy who’s all about the chill life. I enjoy lounging in the sun, taking slow strolls, and soaking up all the cuddles you’ll give. I’ve got a calm, easygoing vibe that makes me the perfect couch buddy or afternoon nap partner. No drama here—just lots of love, a little snoring, and a heart as big as I am. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
