My story

Chip is a 1 month old, 1lbs female kitten from the NYC streets. Chip is a darling little kitten with the sweetest disposition. Despite having one working eye,(her one chocolate chip lol), Chip gets around really well.  Chip was found abandoned with a severe eye infection which has caused her eye to collapse into her socket. Although she is not in any pain, she will need the eye removed to prevent any future discomfort or infection. Chip will have her eye removed when she reaches 3lbs. Waggytail will cover the cost of the surgery. Chip is energetic but also loves to relax and snuggle. She has a quiet, sweet soul. Chip gets along really well with her foster sister, Lil Bean (they are not actual sisters), but also gets along well with the foster's resident chihuahua mix and other dogs that she has encountered. Chip loves wrestling with Bean, playing with all the toys, and cuddling with her foster mama. Chip's dislikes include: baths. Chip is quite adaptable and has shown she is able to travel well, both on car and train, and is very brave and curious when entering new spaces.  Chip must be adopted to a home with another playful cat or dog, or can be adopted together with another Waggytail kitten. Vaccinated for FVRCP. Microchipped. Needs snap test, neuter, rabies when of age and weight. To apply for Chip, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2444549##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chip (aka One Chocolate Chip Cookie), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
