Meet Jack, an amazingly sweet 6-8 year old neutered male English Setter mix! This handsome boy weighs about 45 lbs and he is completely blind. Jack was surrendered by his owner after the owner suffered a heart attack and was unable to continue caring for him. Per the owner, he has been blind from birth. Despite his lack of vison, Jack is a truly joyful boy and he adapts to his surroundings quite well! He can manage a few steps on his own once he learns the layout, but he will likely need to be carried up and down large flights of stairs. He is a very loving, happy pup who gets along great with other dogs, cats, and people. Due to his blindness, we recommend older/dog savvy kids. From Jack's TN foster: "This boy is an absolute dream. He has been one of the easiest fosters. Always happy. He has been amazing with all my dogs. I can't imagine Jack ever being mad or angry. He may need help the first few days learning the layout of the yard and house. But Jack now is able to go inside and out and has no trouble going up and down my deck steps. He got along fine with the cat at the vet and he has gotten along fine with all my dogs. I cannot imagine Jack having trouble with anything. He is an absolute angel." He is medically up to date and houseboken. Apply to meet this very special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2472375##
