My story

Sir Lumenmire is a solidly built brown tabby with a regal presence and a personality to match. This beefy gentleman knows what he likes—and he’s not afraid to show it. Dogs? Not in his realm. He’s open to meeting new people and doesn’t mind a crowd, but he definitely has a limit to his social tolerance. When he’s done, he’s done, and he expects his boundaries to be respected like the true noble he is. Sir Lumenmire takes time to warm up and would do best in a home with older, cat-savvy kids who understand that companionship with a royal comes on his terms. Once you’re in his good graces, though, you’ll find a deeply loyal friend with a low, steady purr and a love for calm company. If you appreciate a cat with character, charm, and clear preferences, Sir Lumenmire may just be your perfect match. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
