My story

Cantaloupe is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Scroll through his pictures to see his cute video content! Cantaloupe comes to us all the way from Texas. We are so happy to welcome him here, and have not really ever seen a dog quite like him...! His looks are giving border collie meets werewolf cub, and we are here for it! Cantaloupe is an adorable and sweet little guy who loves walks, and playing with his dog friends (as you can see in his videos!). He has a kennel roomie, and is typically snuggled up right next to her. After enduring a very long transport he is taking everything in stride, and is in great spirits. Cantaloupe is definitely outgoing and social, without being "too much." He has a great temperament, and we are sure will grow into a lovely young pup. We hope it is with you! This animal is neutered, and is up to date on vaccines. He will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet. Since Cantaloupe is still a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
